Problem Description & Questions

The first story I have to tell is not exactly true, but it isn’t exactly false, either. Once during the winter after she got out of college she was on her way home while she starts thinking if it is possible to have an easier way to manage the entire client’s data.

Oh! Sorry I haven’t told you yet who is she. Artemia Anayansi Victoria Mojica has worked as a Professor at many universities like ULACEX, UP and nowadays she is working at Orientación Psicológica’s UTP department (Psychology Orientation), providing the students with optimum conditions for greater and faster integration at university, promoting individual and collective mental health, also for professors and administrative.

Furthermore she has faced many conflict when need to look for some client’s file due to she has been using Microsoft Excel since the beginning to stored her data, over time she knew that if she still using Excel she won’t improve in her daily work.

Artemia uses a form made and named by herself it is call “Registro Diario de Actividades” (Daily Activity Register) where she write data collected from the client for the first time, this form ask for name, address, age, group, office department, phone number, cellphone number, date and subject, bachelor degree or faculty and it has the programs options for the clients (10 programs).

Otherwise because of the clients gained every single month, she wanted to have a better friendly interface where she can still saving and even search client’s file by using client ID or passport even more this new interface should have reports where it shows how many client she treated, it could be every day, per week or month, memo space where she can place any observation regarding client’s status, calendar for client’s appointment, print reports, stored client’s photo.

5. Would you like to have pictures of the patients in your database, for identify them?
6. Do you need a separate data warehouse for reporting?

8. How do you need the data populated? 1 app or multi app?
9. Do you need to migrate data from other system or old version?
10. Do you need any appointment remind?
11. Do you want to customize (font colors, fonts, bold type, background, etc) your database system?
12. Do you need to register the time that the patient consulted with you?
13. Do you need to update the patient's data every so often?
14. Do you want to take safe the entire patient's data with your own password, when you will use the system?
15. What infrastructure do you have in place?
16. Do you need you use any other system such as word, excel?
17. What have you got in place now and why are you taking this step?
18. Can the database be migrated from the legacy system?
19. Do you want to separate the cases status into active, inactive and in process?
